My family has gone to the Holiday Pops for years. I can remember going with my parents while Kerry and I were still dating because it was such a treat for us then. We got to get dressed up, go to Boston Symphony Hall, and then out to dinner at the Oak Room.
We changed it up shortly after Thomas was born in 2002 and kept it this way until COVID shut it down for a year or two. Still getting dressed up, we made the Holiday Pops our big Christmas Eve event. We went to the Kids’ matinee, with Santa coming down the aisle to join the Pops for a sing-along, then went to Maggiano’s for a family-style feast. The best part about this was how it grew over the years because we kept telling friends and other family members about it. One of the best days of the year by far–awesome live music, delicious food, and the best company.
Wishing you a Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
